Karen is Novotech's Director, Consulting, with a focus on early phase therapeutic strategy. Since joining Novotech in 2022, she has worked with sponsors to develop robust and feasible clinical strategies for early phase studies across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Europe, with particular expertise in gastroenterology and dermatology.
Prior to Novotech, Karen was a Principal Clinical Scientist and Translational Researcher at CSL Ltd, where she was the scientific lead for clinical programs targeting inflammation and led cross-functional clinical development and biomarker strategy teams for Phase I and II studies. She also held a postdoctoral research role in the Department of Immunology at Monash University, studying immune regulation in ovarian cancer, asthma, and allergies.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Monash University and a PhD in Immunology from The University of Melbourne.
