Carolyn Luscombe is Novotech's Therapeutic Strategy Manager, based in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on early phase clinical programs. She brings 30 years of drug development experience and 20 years in clinical research, spanning drug discovery through Phase II studies.
Carolyn received her PhD in Medicine (Microbiology and Immunology) from the University of Melbourne, Australia where she evaluated antiviral drugs for chronic viral infections, performed post-doctoral studies at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University. She has held executive scientific and clinical development roles in biotech companies in Canada, United States of America, and Australia, and is named on patents for investigational antiviral and immune modulation products. She has previously worked as a Therapeutic Strategy Manager at IQVIA biotech. She is currently a Bellberry Human Research Committee member.
Her expertise includes translating preclinical programs into first-in-human healthy volunteer and/or patient trials across autoimmune, neurology, endocrinology, and infectious disease indications for Novotech's local and global clients.
